Primary Purpose: Work under general supervision to assist students and teachers in use and maintenance of technology and educational software.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of basic computer operations and skills Ability to operate personal computer and educational software Ability to work with students and teachers effectively Ability to communicate effectively
Experience: One year of experience working with children in an educational environment, or prior experience in technology support.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Technical Support 1. Run updates on technology equipment throughout the campus. 2. Install a variety of computer programs. 3. Issue devices to staff and students. 4. Perform basic troubleshooting of classroom technology. 5. Maintain campus technology inventory and update inventory annually. 6. Process and complete technology work orders in a timely fashion.
Other 7. Assist with office and workroom clerical duties as needed. 8. Maintain confidentiality. 9. Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and special events as needed. 10. Other duties as assigned by Principal
